About me

I was born in Alsace, France and now live in Dublin, Ireland with Hubby, Lucie and Daisy the cat. As far as I can remember, I have always loved making things. My mum is a great sewist and knitter and she taught me all the basics when I was a kid. I caught the quilting bug 17 years ago after attending a couple of classes just after moving to Dublin. I have been quilting ever since, on and off and more recently full time. I have pretty much taken over the attic with my fabric stash and my sewing machines. I have a long list of projects that is only getting longer… This blog is my way of showing off my work.

Crafting events I try to visit

• The Carrefour Europeen du Patchwork in Ste Marie-aux-Mines in Alsace, France, yearly event over 4 days in mid-September.
• The Mode et Tissus event in Ste Marie-aux-Mines in Alsace, France, every 6 months (October and  April), mainly aimed at dressmakers.
• Salon Creativa, moving French exhibition of creators and craft supplies.
• The Knitting and Stitching Show in Dublin, Ireland, typically the last week-end of October.
• One to keep an eye on : International Quilt Festival of Ireland, 7th to 12th June 2012 in Galway, Ireland.
