I wanted to make a quilt for baby H but not knowing if it was going to be a boy or a girl proved a bit of a challenge. My first attempt was this – trying to tone down the pinks with some red and orange.
But looking at the picture, the pink was quite overwhelming and I had a sneaking suspicion baby H was going to be a boy. So back to the drawing board ! Here is my version of Film in the Fridge’s Cloud in the sky quilt, but arranged as butterflies.
It is slightly more masculine than the previous one ! I should have made the little butterflies slightly smaller so that their edges would not touch that of the adjacent ones but I still like it. All that is left to do now is to quilt both of them ! And yes, baby H turned out to be a boy. Welcome, Conall !
